and then man

2017-2018

My "And Then Man" Series talks about minorities in today's America. This series showcases endangered plants and flowers under a spotlight to symbolize the unheard voices of minorities in the United States. Endangered flowers represent both the ruthless battle for equality and the significance of the most important female, Mother Nature. The wooden floorboards personify the male gaze, one that women of all ages bear the weight of throughout their lives. Half of the sale price of each painting will be donated to charities and organizations that support women and minorities. The selection will be updated as paintings are produced.
